Villa Amira, dating back to the 14^th century and positioned overlooking the sea, is strategically located in a completely private context, though in walking distance to the charming shops and splendid pebble beaches in the center of Positano. In addition it boasts one of the very few private swimming pools in the area. It is a perfect solution for a peaceful yet convenient holiday rental for up to eight guests. 

Access: The villa is accessible by a winding staircase (approximately 130 steps) from the main coastal road. Porters can be arranged to assist with luggage. 

Inside: The owners have taken care to elegantly furnish the interior of the villa with sculptures and other artistic works, while the multiple fireplaces lend a warm atmosphere. The ground floor homes a spacious living room and a dining room seating nine guests, both with fireplaces and opening onto the private terrace. The kitchen is large and fully fitted with numerous useful appliances. A suite consists of a double bedroom and full bathroom and offers direct access to the pool and terrace.

A stone staircase leads from the living room to the upper level, where there are two spacious double bedrooms (queen), each with fireplace and double doors opening onto a shared panoramic terrace equipped with lounge chairs. There are two private bathrooms in marble, each with both tub and shower stall. 

Outside: The enormous garden is spectacular, filled with trees, plants and bronze sculptures. Up to 12 guests can dine comfortably under the covered loggia. The swimming pool (10 x 5 meters) is in a large terrace and surrounded by sun beds, chairs and umbrellas. Guests can relax in the shade of the pergola while admiring the amazing view over the sea. A stone staircase provides access directly from the villa to the beach below. An additional bungalow accommodating 2 guests has its own private bathroom and terrace and is available upon request. 

Features: As this area is comprised of steep cliffs, there are very few private pools, making Villa Amira’s outdoor swimming pool all the more special. The villa’s English-speaking housekeeper is also an accomplished cook and is on duty six days a week. A gardener tends to the garden and pool area twice weekly. Additional amenities include: air conditioning (only bedrooms), central heating, dishwasher, washing machine, clothes drier, satellite TV, telephone and fax machine, ADSL Wi-Fi internet connection, microwave, DVD player, CD player. High chair, crib and babysitter are available upon request. 

Distances: Positano center 1.5 km (25 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by car). An ideal location for exploring the Amalfi Coast, buses can be caught on the main coastal road to Amalfi (15 km), Ravello (21 km) and Sorrento (20 km). Capri can be reached by boat from Positano or Sorrento (30-40 minutes). Either Pompei (30 km) or the Naples Capodichino airport (60 km) can be reached in 1 hour and the Rome Fiumicino airport (300 km) in 4 hours.
